Preparing for Treatment

~ Do not shave three or four days before your treatment. It is necessary to have hair growth.

~ Well hydrated skin can help the treatment be more effective. It is recommended to drink an ample amount of water the week prior to the appointment. Drink plenty of water every day, not just before you come to your appointment.

~ Avoid caffeine on the day of your appointment. Caffeine can stimulate nerve endings, making you more sensitive to treatment.

~ Prepare to experience some minor pain. Some people compare electrolysis similar to the sensation of a mosquito bite. You can take a mild over-the-counter pain reliever prior to your treatment and you may use a topical numbing cream.

~ Some areas are more sensitive than others, so ask the professional performing your electrolysis what to expect.

~ NO laser treatment within 2 weeks of treatment.

~ Unable to perform treatment on pregnant women. Certain medical conditions including diabetes may require a Physicians Authorization prior to treatment or may be ineligible to receive electrolysis. A phone consultation is required.

~ Unable to perform treatment if you have used Accutane within the past year WITHOUT a physicians note.
